I invite you to check out these bred heifers, that are a product of 35 years of breeding. Most Bucking Bull enthusiasts think all good bulls come from Texas and Oklahoma, well many great Sires/Dams have come from the west. I guess you could say Bob Barmby started it all in the thirties, then along came Alex Naccarato to Don Kish, Russells our family any many other breeders, in California. You look back at some of the genetics of great bucking bulls and you might find a West Coast Bull or Cow! Sammy Andrews, Pages, Tom Teague and many more learned the value of bringing in new blood to their herds. Guess what it worked ! So don’t overlook these heifers just because there from California.

We started with some F1 roping calf heifers from San Antonio and breeding some Brangus heifers. Along came some great bucking bulls that my Dad purchased to buck, that we used them to breed, when those bulls weren’t at a Rodeo. It takes years of crossing certain bulls to certain cows to get the right crosses. A lot of trial by error, but in the end when you produce a couple “World Champions”, then you know all the hours of hard work, bucking bulls, working cows, has paid off.

So look at these heifers pedigrees and their history. We don’t hardly have any quality events to buck young bulls at in California so it is tough to groom these young calves along. That is why you won’t see hardly any of our bulls competing in Futurities/Derbies/Classics, and the loss of Kent Cox. He made Troubadour and Bushwacker into “World Champions”. We have to take 3yr olds to Rodeos and hope they will go on to become great Rodeo bulls, and also lack of Bull Riders.

It’s all about the Ladies, pickup any Race Horse Sale Catalog the female is always listed first, they are 60% to 70% in your production. Feel free to call me about any of these heifers, I have worked hard to put a great set of girls together, that you could build a super herd with.

Side Note: There a couple heifers in the sale that are 3, they were on a bull last year that was sterile, so I held them over to this year to sell.
