SIRE: -59 DAM: Tom Harlan Cow |
WILD CARD - 17yr Old Cow |
According to the ABBI HMS Software -0 Barbwire is 1 of the ONLY 7 Daughters of -59 REGISTERED with the ABBI. It is easier to find a White Sport Coat, Spook, or Oscars Velvet daughter than it is a direct daughter of -59, and unlike those other bulls, there won't be anymore -59 sons and daughters. Charlie Plummer, Freddy Cordell, Ronnie Roach, Jimmy Crowthers, Larry Kephart, Dillon Page, Darrell Hargis, all can trace there herds back to Tom Harlan cows. Tom Harlan is who Charlie Plummer went to when he started putting his cow herd together. |

As you can see, she is not showing her age. She has good teeth (Short Solid), and is an easy keeper. This cow has never had a calf that didn't buck!!! Her 1st bull calf won Bucking Bull of the Year in the ARA. Her 2nd bull calf was hauled by Eddy Rowden. Her 3rd bull calf ---- #323 Double Down, was 3rd out of 55 bulls at the Winnie TX Futurity in 2002. #323 is currently being hauled by Brian Frederick, who hauled him to a Discovery Tour Event in Wharton, TX, where he bucked off Tate Stratton. Her 4th bull calf ---- #107 Double Dose was bucked one time he turned back to the right and was pretty nice. He was turned out and showed up crippled. He is now used just as a breeding bull. Her 5th bull calf (who is also her last bull calf) ---- B76 Jaw Breaker placed 3rd at Tunica, MS (NBBA) at one of the most competitive events ever. One of her daughters is Cow #80, owned by Jeff Parker, is the Dam to CBR finals bull B54 Moonshadow owned by Jerry Nelson. Cow #80 is also the dam to #903 Black Monday, owned by Russ Gant, who placed 3rd at Lima, OH. at two separate events. She bred back the very 1st heat she had when she was in with Tahonta last year, and gave me a super nice Tahonta heifer this year. She is not a slot machine when you flush her, but she has usually gave 4-5 embryos. She would not be for sale if I didn't need the money. I love this cow. I don't want to sell her, but we cant always do what we want. |
